Linear ratios have been determined between the quadrupole interaction constants, measured by nuclear magnetic resonance with the 63Cu isotope, emission Mössbauer spectroscopy with the 67Zn isotope and the principal component of the electric field gradient tensor in the copper nodes of RBa2Cu3O7 ceramic superconductors. These ratios make it possible to determine compounds in which copper is bivalent without using any models of charge distribution across the nodes within the crystal lattice.
