The article provides a comprehensive description of spectral sensitization of photothermographic materials, showing a significant influence of dye molecules localized on the surface of silver stearate on the spectral sensitization process of photothermographic materials. It demonstrates that silver stearate effectively transfers dye molecules luminescence to the silver bromide microcrystal with a lightguide mechanism.
